CHERYL TIEGS I'm not a big fan of the term "All American Beauty" because it usually ends up being used as a fancier alternative to "Skinny Blonde" all too often. Cheryl Tiegs was definitely not the most exotic model of the 70s, but with her classic smile, dirty blonde hair, and affinity for wearing see through light colored bathing suits, she definitely put the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editions on the map. She's busy selling wigs and being a spokesperson for yeast medications and menstruation issues (finally someone brave enough to speak up!), but she definitely helped many a lad realize their heterosexuality back in the day, and did more to sell subscriptions to Sports Illustrated than all the shoe phones in the world.
