Okay, has no one else noticed that this new “Jane’s Addiction” does NOT feature Eric A, their original bassist?  Yeah, well, I guess no one cares but me…  Anyway, I’ve always found his bass line on this track to be one of the all-time greats: inherently funky yet hyperkinetic, with “A” pushing it just a little, up to…dare I say it—11?  And with the best barking dog samples this side of Pet Shop Boys’ “Suburbia” thrown in for good measure, the fate of this groove is sealed.
