retroCRUSH reader Flying Monkey wrote to me, "I just gotta put in the good word
for the harmonica solo at 1:30 in 'What I Like
About You' by The Romantics. The standard by which all rock-n-roll harmonica is
measured." It's true! Though not as proficient as some of Stevie
Wonder's better harmonica solos, it's blue collar perfect rock mouth metal at
it's finest. Also interesting is that John Cougar Mellencamp practically
carbon copied this entire tune when he recorded "R-O-C-K In The USA!"
